Peyote stitch is the workhorse of beading; it can be done flat or in the round, and can be used to create dimensional objects. Peyote stitch is almost always used when one is bezeling cabochons. It is closely related to and similar in appearance to Brick Stitch. The weaving technique called “Cellini Spiral” is in fact a dimensional version of peyote stitch in the round. All of the designs shown below the video feature peyote stitch; directions include techniques for the specific materials used.
